The Workhouse Residential Development is a residential tower project located in London’s Canary Wharf area. The lower levels feature retail units and sports facilities, while the upper floors house a series of flats. The tower comprises luxury apartments on the higher levels and affordable housing on the lower levels. The flat designs prioritize framing internal views and maximizing vistas across Canary Wharf. The façade combines GRC cladding to accentuate the tower’s edges with a system of louvers that both follow the building’s lines and serve as shading devices for the flats. This design reflects SASI Studio’s architecture principles, where form, function, and context come together to shape thoughtful, high-density urban housing.
