The Ligneum Table is an artistic table, designed to showcase wood’s exceptional potential, in the context of Industry 4.0. The design draws inspiration from nature and traditional handcrafted tables, utilizing computational design tools to achieve a flowing structure that optimizes the table’s strength by eliminating excess material and introducing openings that reduce its weight and enhance material distribution. This piece reflects SASI Studio’s Industrial design philosophy, emphasizing continuous, nature-inspired geometries with alternating convex and concave shapes that create interplays of shadows and accentuate topological continuity and fluidity.
